Roulette takes its name from the French for ‘little wheel’. The pockets inside the wheel are numbered from 0 to 36 with different groups of numbers being either red or black. Zero is in its own green pocket.

How to Play
There are quite a few different ways to place your bets in online European Roulette, so let us explain them.
Firstly, the table in front of you on the bottom half of the screen is where you will place your bets. The numbers are laid out in columns numerically and also grouped into thirds, halves, colours and odds or evens.
Your choice of chips are the value of 1, 2, 5, and 25 in the different colours at the bottom of the game. Each coin is worth £1. To place your bet, click on the amount you wish to stake. If you click again on a chip you have already placed, another one will be added to the bet, so make sure you check how much you stake per spin.
When you are deciding where to place your bet, the numbers covered by your bet will be made lighter so that you can see where you are betting.
Inside Bets
An inside bet is one which is placed on specific numbers on the table, so for these bets, we’re just looking at the red and black squares with the numbers in.
Straight
A straight bet is placed on a single number, and to do this, simply click on a number on the board.
Split
This one gives you a bit more of a chance, you can split your bet across two adjoining numbers. All you need to do for this is to place your coin on the line in between the two numbers you wish to bet on.
Street
A street, or ‘three-line’ bet is placed down one of the lines on the board, for example, 10, 11, 12. All three are in the same line, and this can be done by placing your chip on the line beneath the bottom of the three numbers, so in this case, the bottom line of the box with 10 in.
You can also place a street bet on 0, 1, 2, or 0, 2, 3 by placing your chip on the intersecting ‘T’ shape between the three numbers.
Corner
This one is spread across four numbers, and you place your chip in the centre of the four intersecting numbers. In the middle of the ‘square’ made by the four numbers, as it were.
You can also make a corner bet on 0, 1, 2, 3 by putting your chip on the crossover between the bottom right corner of zero and the bottom left corner of one.
Six Line
This bet encompasses six numbers across two rows. To cover the six numbers, you’ll need to place your chip so that it crosses over the bottom corner of the two bottom numbers. Say, for example, you wanted to bet across numbers 1 to 6, you would put your chip on the bottom corner where 1 and 4 meet. Don’t forget, the numbers your bet includes will lighten up, so you can check you’re in the right place before you place the bet.
Outside Bets
Naturally, the outside bets are on the outside of the numbered board. All outside bets are done in groups.
When making these types of bets, the Hot and Cold numbers, as well as the list of previously landed numbers, could help you to make your decision. If you can see what the recent outcomes have been, you may be able to make an informed guess on the next type of number to come out.
Column
A column bet is made across a whole stretch of twelve numbers from left to right. To place a column bet, put your chip on the section labelled 2:1 for whichever of the three columns you wish to play on.
Dozen
This one is pretty self-explanatory. There are twelve numbers above each of the 1st, 2nd and 3rd 12 labels. Place your chip anywhere within your chosen dozen.
Red or Black
Again, this one should be easy. The red and the black rectangles in the middle bottom of the board are where you place your bet for which one it will land on.
Even or Odd
Whilst they aren’t next to each other, they do apply to the whole board. Whichever you think the ball will land on, go for it.
Halves
This bet splits the numbers in the middle, and so you can bet on either 1-18 or 19-36.
The Racetrack
If you are happy with the general types of betting on European Roulette online, then you may wish to go a step further and open the racetrack.
The racetrack is the second symbol from the left at the bottom of your game and will open up what looks like a racetrack which shows all numbers on the wheel in the same order.
Please be aware that, although for these bets you are placing a chip on one label, your bet will include the amount of individual chips which are on the board, so check the bet amount at the bottom before you spin!
Using the racetrack, you can make Call bets, which are as follows:
Number and Neighbours
By default, this is a bet on one number, plus the two numbers either side of your chosen number on the wheel, but you can adjust the amount of neighbouring numbers using the + and - buttons. To make a number and neighbours bet, click on the number on the racetrack, and your chips will show up on the board.
Jeu Zero
The jeu zero is a bet on a series of 7 numbers, 12, 13, 3, 25, 0, 32, 15. To place this bet, put your chip on the area called ‘zero’ on the racetrack. You’ll also see that encapsulated within the ‘zero’ section are the numbers you play.
Tiers
Tiers translates from French as ‘third’, and hence this is what the bet is. You can bet on a third of the numbers. Click on the ‘tiers’ label on the racetrack and your bet will be placed on 27, 13, 36, 11, 30, 8, 23, 10, 5, 24, 16, 33, which will then be shown on the table.
Voisins
This translates as ‘neighbours’ which covers the 17 numbers on the roulette which are the closest to the green 0. Zero’s neighbours, if you like. This is literally the half of the wheel on the same side as the green. Simply place your chip on ‘voisins’ on the racetrack to place this bet.
Orphelins
Namely called the ‘orphans’ bet in French, this bet covers the two sectors of the wheel that are not covered by the Tiers bet or the Voisins bet. You cover eight numbers with five chips.
