Set Your Bet
Without paylines, there are many ways to win in Mahjong 88. The easiest way to encompass everything in a bet is to present simple bet values to choose from. You don’t need to fiddle with paylines and coin values; the options are laid out for you below the reels.
All you need to do is choose a bet value, which can range from 10p up to £100 per spin.
Clusters Galore
The smallest cluster size you can win from is four symbols. Anything upwards from that you could increase your winnings. Clusters of 12 or more are the highest paying.
On the reels, you will see a mixture of flowers and dice-like symbols. The flowers have the highest value.
A cluster of 12 or more of the pink flowers with green leaves could award you 500 times your bet!
The orangey-red flower has top prize payouts of 250 times the bet, and the yellow offers up to 10 times your stake for 12 or more.
A cluster of 12 or more of the all-pin flowers will award 60 times the stake.
Your lower-value symbols are the symbols which depict numbers like a dice. You will still win with clusters of four or more symbols, but the payouts will be lower.
Instead of the reels spinning, whenever a win is created, the winning symbols will disappear, with new ones appearing from underneath.

Concealed Tiles
Should any plain green tiles land on the reels, these are concealed tiles. They will rotate to reveal a symbol which matches one adjacent to it.
Fortune Frog
There is a circular meter on the right-hand side of the reels which contains a frog. This is Mahjong 88’s Fortune Frog.
With every win, it is charged up, and will activate after winning with 33 symbols. One of the following features will be randomly chosen:
- Croak – One type of symbol will transform into a scatter
- Spawn – One type of symbol will transform into another
- Tongue – Two edges of the reels are chosen, and the symbols between will transform into another symbol
- Hop – one symbol is selected to transform and destroy any adjacent symbols
Super Charge
In the same meter as Fortune Frog, the Super Charge is an extra measure.
If you can manage to collect 88 symbols from wins, the pink meter will increase up to the 88 total and all wins will be multiplied by 5.
Season Bonus
There are four different wild symbols which are depicted as seasons. The seasons can change randomly throughout the game.
Why does this matter? Well, with each season comes a different twist on the bonus. These features can be triggered randomly on a non-winning spin. Below we have detailed each of the seasons and what they can bring to your game of Mahjong 88:
Spring – Green flower symbol: up to 12 wilds can appear and be placed randomly on reels
Summer – Golden sun: up to 5 wilds can appear with all adjacent symbols being destroyed
Autumn – Up to 11 wilds can appear, turning symbols wild and destroying some from edges
Winter – Up to 4 wilds will appear and will stay in place when part of a winning combo
Once these features have played out, the normal game resumes.
